Latex-Look Leggings and PVC Pants

November 20, 2007 by WendyB

Much to my delight, there’s been a burst of new posts about latex-look legs in the blogosphere. Check out:

  • I Spy, Thrift Eye
  • Style Bubble
  • The Coveted

Meanwhile, I broke down and bought the American Apparel leggings. They’re all weird around the waist so I’ll have to send them back … but of course I took photos first. Or at least I tried to.

You can’t even tell what I’m wearing here! Let’s try again.

Leggings + books = sex-ay AND intellectual

wow, the couch shot is crazy sexy.

anywho, I dont think they fit anyone around the waist. Something about the materials. They wouldnt go over your thighs if they could stay over your waist.

there are many in this boat

Thanks for the link, Eli! I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was like, what is this crazy creeping-down feeling at the waist? It reminded me of earlier this year, I put on a pair of the same brand of opaque tights that I’d been wearing for a while but this time the waist seemed to have no grip. None at all. I was running late as usual, so I quickly threw on underwear OVER the tights a la Superman. Thank God I did because that was the only thing that kept those tights from sagging to my ankles!

you look sensational in those pictures!! Why- I’d wolf whistle if only I knew how!

You look absolutely smashing in them! I’ve been meaning to pick up a pair of them myself but i always get sidetracked by other items. And lol and your tights having no grip and sagging to your ankles if it wasn’t for the underwear on top. The opposite is equally embarrassing, having stuff hike up your legs i mean. Happened to me on Monday with a shirt dress i wore. My coat made the dress go up and up till it looked like i was only walking around in my opaque tights and a coat. Guys had a hoot that day. It was quite an uncomfortable day filled with tons of pulling and tugging to keep my dress down.

Ooh, laydee! You look hot. DO NOT take them back. Get the waist fixed. Got the same problem myself and just took the waist in on the side.

Eek! Well, everyone’s making me feel I should keep them. But where will an old lady like myself be wearing them?

Why don’t you wear them to Thanksgiving dinner? The saggy waist means you can eat away without worry, and the latex style means you can bring a little sexy to the table!

  17. WendyB says

    November 21, 2007 at 8:00 am

LOL, Jenn….good point. Especially since I’m not bringing pie or a side dish or anything. I should bring some sexy instead. Wait…I ALWAYS bring that!

those look great! but it’s too bad they’re slipping down.

I’ve actually never tried aa’s leggings. Is it just the latex ones with this problem, I wonder?

  27. roller coaster teacher says

Hm, latex leggings – better you than me. I just found a cool pair of black legging/pants – cotton/tiny bit of spandex at Express. They have a waistband and button/zipper just like jeans, and fake pockets, but they hug the legs.

Doll, you’re gorgeous. Love the entire outfit.

And, I need those leggings. LOVE them.

Hm, they did fit me around the waist but I’m not sure if I shall buy them, I might not be courageous enough to wear them in public :/

My favorite part of this post, aside from the bitchin’ pic, is the “For all my latex posts, click here” mention.

You know, WendyB, I don’t think I have a single latex post and yet you have a whole catalog. Nice work.

  32. Olga says

Ah, come on, “old lady”, you look younger than all my former classmates. You definitely should keep them (the leggings, not the old classmates that is)!

    I want them now!

Thanks for the compliment I love the shoes and the jeans (hence why they are in my blog).

Kian, you are too nice….you didn’t see all the bad pix I tossed to get two tolerable ones. Especially because I have one eye that always seems a little sleepier than the other eye and last night it was pretty much sound asleep. What’s that about? It FELT open!

you’re cat woman!!!! my very first introduction to the power of female sexuality – she made a major impression on me. loved how she reduced batman to quivering jello every time.

  37. WendyB says

Editor, I loved Catwoman…so much more than Batwoman. But which actress was your first Catwoman?

  38. editor says

    November 21, 2007 at 7:59 pm

    batwoman? please.
omgd, catwoman was just crazy dangerous, and so freakin’ seductive.
she was the very first thing i thought of when i saw the second pic of you.
my first catwoman, purrrrr, i recall both newmar and kitt, and do not now remember which i saw first – but i was not watching the show in the 60s, so they were reruns.

  39. WendyB says

    November 21, 2007 at 9:16 pm

Newmar is definitely the one I remember best. We used to watch those reruns all the time…even then I appreciated the homoerotic tension between Batman and his “ward.”

The last time I saw my nephew-in-law, he was wearing a belly shirt and had a pierced belly button. His girlfriend had on the *exact same* outfit. Guess which one looked sexy and which one looked like a serial killer?

You Wendy look like a hot-tay!

I’m so on the fence about the latex leggings. I suppose I should try some on at American Apparel before I make up my mind. I see it on other people and it looks great. Let me rephrase – I see it on 20-somethings and I think it looks great. Maybe I’m too old for latex?!? 🙂

  46. WendyB says

    November 23, 2007 at 5:49 pm

Sally Jane, if you are too old, I’m sure I’m WAY too old. Maybe I’ll just keep mine and lounge on the couch once in a while for a photo 😉
