Cardigan, Corduroy, Cat and Cock

November 19, 2007 by WendyB

Today’s post is sponsored by the letter “C”!

If you’re loving chunky knits this season, you need to check out this awesome ’70s cardigan. Happy bidding!

From Emmapeelpants, eBay seller

When you’re done bidding (snipe, people, snipe!), tell me, do I want these corduroys in “deep eggplant”? Or do I just THINK I want them?

In non-clothing-related developments, this LOLcat made me laugh till I cried real tears. Then I received an alarming email from “Jacques Craft” with the subject line: “Rosanna’s oversize cock.” Well! Someone did not pay attention to my MegaDik post, in which I suggested women who plan to grow penises might want to start with small ones. Rosanna clearly thought she knew better and now she’s stuck with an oversize cock! Thank you, Mr. Craft, for passing along this sad story. Please do let me know if Rosanna learns to cope with her jumbo organ. And let this be a lesson to all you would-be penis-growers! MegaDik can be MegaDangerous!

Oooh! Buy them! Also, I feel like I’m missing out: ever since I started working at my current company, we don’t get any good spam!

Chunky knits don’t bode well on chunky chicks. That’s why I steer clear of ’em.

Now THAT was a funny ass LOLcat!

hmmmm….maybe you don’t want them if you’re conflicted. I think they look great, but only you know the machinations of your wardrobe. My advice, give it 24 hours.

It’s one of those things I’ve been pondering for weeks with no resolution!

great blog! love your humor – congrats on NOT growing a penis. you would never look right in those eggplant cords with a bulge.

You definitely, totally want those pants in eggplant.

I like that knit but you would need something very subtle on the bottom!

Go for the purple. I covet the overdyed bootcut jeans in welsh purple. On top, probably grey, charcoal grey, black, and/or white.

you want them!! I have some deep purple pants and they are surprisingly versatile!

Hmm.. I’m gonna go with yes for the curdoroys and no for the bulge down there!

And why the hell does Rosanna want one?? Couldnt they have said Robert instead of Rosanna?

Holy crap, I can’t believe those pants come in so many colors. sort of reminds me of an American Apparel color palette. And why am I oddly attracted to the “burnished olive”?

you really want them. and think of the great sound they will make when you walk.

Ha ha @ This Lady. My thought exactly. Why Rosanna? Stef, I don’t know if I can stand that “whiff whiff whiff” sound. Can’t they make a silencer for that?

I don’t know, WendyB. There’s something not quite right about those corduroy pants. I’d say pass on them. The cardigan’s fine–the cat/mouse is funny–the cock stuff is HILARIOUS.

Well, I have red jeans right now, and I tend to pair them (mostly) with my black trapeze dress or a turtleneck sweater. But I have worn them with stripes, grey, and pewter blue before. I think purple and turquoise pants are “easier” than red because while bright, they’re not quite so bold. With the eggplant ones, they’d look great with creme. Perhaps a green checkered plaid button up with a v-neck sweater. It’s be kind of Ali McGraw. Or a Marigold sweater. Yum! I love gold and purple (or teal!). Or kelly green and purple (but not with gold, because then you look like a Mardis Gras float!). Red ones would look GREAT with your Wall Street journal shirt. It’d be low-key, but with some black boots, would really dress the cords up.

Man. My brain is a runnin’ with ideas now…

Wow, that’s a lot of ideas. I’m glad black is involved because when it comes to separates for me, something better be black or I can’t cope! I think I will order them and see. I figure there are slim odds that they will fit anyway, so I’ll worry about what to do after getting past the fitting issue.
