Curses!

October 16, 2008 by WendyB

Gorgeous blogger Moira of Dog Art Today cruelly sent me a link to an October 30 Christie’s auction of fabulous vintage clothing called Resurrection: Avant-Garde Fashion. Now I’m pining for numerous pieces that I’ll never have, including, but definitely not limited to:

Stephen Sprouse
Norma Kamali

Norma Kamali
Paco Rabanne

Ossie Clark

UPDATED TO ADD: Thanks to ENC for some impressive Photoshop work.

That Norma Kamali dress is absolutely beautiful. Lucky person who gets their paws on it.

I think that Paco Rabanne would completely hide my recent weight gain…

DANG, that Paco Rabanne! I’ve never, ever, ever seen anything like it. It’s so ideal for taking the bus or subway during rush hour, you could turn to the side, and wedge your way into the crowd, then turn, and sweep everyone out of your way!

Other than that, it reminds me of a lady bug.

That red cape makes me think of a ladybug.

And I can totally picture you wearing the Ossie dress. It’s not the exact same as the one you already have, is it?

The red thing makes me think of a tongue. The circle on the right is for the sweet taste buds and the sour ones are on the left.

    Man, I want it!

That Norma Kamali dress is indeed beautiful! And the title of this post is a funny coincidence because I say “curses!” all the time because I don’t curse.

I love the Ossie dress, and the Paco Rabanne looks less like a ladybug than one of those squeezy change purses…all it needs is a little chain.

    Oh Miss Wendy…

Methinks you can’t say Moira is being cruel when you are inflicting the same torture on all of us. (Insert Big Pout here.)

The Paco Rabanne is speaking to us. Loudly. It is simply too cool.

Thanx for the pain, it makes me feel alive. (Heh-heh-heh)

I do like that ossie Clark dress. Wouldn’t you look great in that?

I can see you in all of them. But the NYT dress totally reminded me of your Wall Street Journal black t-shirt.

    (thanks for the link 🙂
