Shakira the Cover Girl, Plus Other Recent Press

March 13, 2014 by WendyB

Hip-shaking cover girl Shakira is wearing my rose-quartz Venus ring in a feature in the April 2014 issue of Women’s Health. Exciting!

Ah, I remember when Shakira’s video for “Whenever, Wherever” came out in 2001 — I couldn’t take my eyes off her!

I’ve never seen her in concert but I did see her perform “Objection (Tango)” live at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2002. Click that link — you’ll feel like you got a good core workout just watching her dance.

Anyway, back to the Venus ring, which you can see on Shakira’s hand at the bottom of the Women’s Health photo. It’s been sold, but the matching necklace and earrings are still available and currently on sale. They are both 18K rose gold, set with rose-quartz cabochons and diamonds.

These are the only rose-quartz Venus styles that I made and there won’t be anymore when these are sold, so if you love pink and appreciate one-of-a-kind jewelry, get your Venus piece before anyone else does!

Other recent press includes JCK Magazine, which included my sign of the horn earrings in a story on jewels that “do the talking” in the December/January issue.

You can read about the inspiration for those earrings here.

The fine people at Modern Luxury’s Atlanta-based Jezebel magazine are also enjoying message jewelry. They included my OMG ring set in the March issue.

More letter rings appeared in this month’s Cosmopolitan on the hand of Emmalyn Estrada from the singing group G.R.L. She’s wearing a custom “GRL” set, of course.

I’ve got rings for all the letters of the alphabet on my website, but they’re not $440 each, like the caption says. They’re either $110 or $220, depending if they were made overseas or in the U.S. (Read about manufacturing overseas here.) Buy a few and spell out what’s on your mind.

Thanks to the editors of Women’s Health, JCK, Jezebel and Cosmopolitan for featuring my work on your pages. It’s always a thrill!

Rose gold and rose quartz and Shakira…oh my!! Your Venus series is stunning, dear Wendy; and how cool is it to see your ring on the cover of a magazine?! Lucky lady who ended up with that piece; unfortunately, I have more of a bubblegum-machine budget!!
