Wendy Brandes Jewelry in Da Mafia 6ix’s “Go Hard” Video

October 9, 2013 by WendyB

My gorgeous rapper friend Gangsta Boo has reunited with some of her Three 6 Mafia colleagues to form a new rap group called Da Mafia 6iX.  They’ve collaborated with Yelawolf on a song called “Go Hard.” I already loved “Go Hard” — which really does go hard — but I loved it even more after the video came out yesterday and I saw Boo flaunting the nameplate necklace I made her. Check out the screenshot.

Here’s the whole video. Boo comes on around 1:35. Note: if you’re one of those “ohmigod rap is so bad and scary” people, don’t even bother watching, mmmkay?

While I was focusing on the jewelry and fashion in the video (I only WISH I had done that ginormous skull pendant), I noticed that Yelawolf is wearing a white version of the black “Gangster Rap Made Me Do It” t-shirt he wore at the G-Shock concert in August. Does he have it in a rainbow of colors? Inquiring minds want to know. Speaking of rainbows. Yela’s torso is so heavily tattooed that when he takes off his shirt in the video, I briefly thought he had put on a different tee!

Anyway, in the nearly two years that I’ve known Boo, she’s been working her ass off on her music (when she’s not freelancing as a fashion blogger) and I’m excited to see it all paying off. The response to “Go Hard” has been incredible. You’re the queen, Boo!

Wow girl, talk about being diverse! From feminism to Gansta Rap in 24 hours, you never fail to keep me entertained & in the loop. I dont have Cable or internet at home, so I definitely need help on that aspect. haha.

    Anyhoo…

Yep, that enormous skull pendant is rockin!

I love the way Boo gives your creation props @ 1:49 when she lifts it up for the world to see & her cross earrings so perfectly shown right after that are awesome!

That dude Yelawolf has amazing ink! Holy Cow! & I love his glasses.

BTW – I know these guys are from Memphis, but, I grew up in the Bay Area (born & raised in Oakland, CA)& watching that was like going home. For real.

    Peace sister 🙂

I only wish I did those cross earrings too. That would have been a big bonus. But yeah, I totally appreciate Boo giving my necklace so much airtime! She’s always great about that.

Did you know Yela has Johnny Cash tattooed on his scalp?! http://www.fuse.tv/2012/06/why-does-yelawolf-have-johnny-cash-tattooed-on-his-head

OMG no Internet or cable at home! What do you do there? Read, talk and think, I guess? I remember when I used to do stuff like that 😀
