Minx Manicure #8: Silver Snakeskin Pattern

March 11, 2011 by WendyB

The silver in this manicure is so shiny that I couldn’t get a picture that didn’t include my reflection! That’s the dark spot you see on two of the nails.

In addition to a new manicure, I have a version of my recent post about Vogue and Syria’s first lady on The Huffington Post. Check it out and leave a comment there!

I like how you photographed your nails on a snakeskin bag (?) background. Perfect!

Congrats on the Huffington article! You’re a superstar!

    Dear Wends

So happy see see you embracing this polish. And love your Lulu G bag too- she always wears a red lip as well.

I get comments on my bloggy all the time saying my hands are too old and ugly for “trend” based polsih but I say that Polish Does Not Discriminate Based On Age.

I will not be marginalised polish wise and it’s good to see that neither will you.

OMG! You too? I have totally gotten the old and ugly comment.

I can’t believe I still haven’t gotten a minx manicure after you’ve posted so many awesome manicures. This one might be my favorite so far!

I bought a minx mani from groupon and I can’t wait to get it done! I normally wouldn’t spend so much on my nails since I always destroy them but I couldn’t resist this one.

You have such nice nails Wendy, I do love your taste in polish. Perhaps one day I will stop nibbling at mine and can start to get creative too x

Last week I was using those Sally Hansen nail thingies and they seriously lasted forever. They need to expand their prints because most right now are for tweens. I need to figure out where to get a minx in SF and have an occasion for it too 🙂

I’m read through your HP article again after reading it here, I’m glad the people so far left nice comments. I was afraid people were going to be mean or weird, I think blogging has traumatized me with comments.

Re the comments, me too! I was very nervous. I’m spoiled by getting mostly nice comments here. Of course, when I did an interview with the Washington Post, the few comments were totally psychotic.

I loooove it! Love it! Is the pattern drawn on, or is it some kind of crackle polish?

I love these-I’m going to go ask for one this weekend-thanks!
