What Wendy Wore: Tiffeau at the Rising Star Awards

February 2, 2011 by WendyB

The lovely Mitria from Fashion Group International sent me some photos from last week’s Rising Star Awards luncheon. Naturally, I struck my trademark pose for my official photo.

Photo by Eric Michelson for Fashion Group International.

What Wendy Wore
Dress: Vintage Jacques Tiffeau (purchased in 2009)
Tights: Random black opaque tights
Shoes: Yves Saint Laurent with gold heels (can’t remember when I got ’em)
Necklace: My own Chicken-in-Egg locket
Earrings: My own Queen of Scots design
Hair: By Julie Matos. Sides pinned back with barrettes.
Lip color: Lasting Lust by MAC
Nails: Gelish products, applied by Tracylee Percival

Speaking of my pose, I’ll give you till 12:01 a.m. ET, February 3, to vote for your favorite WendyB pose here. Then I’ll declare the winner.

Here’s one more FGI photo with a good look at my finalist plaque. This one was taken after I got to select my corsage.

There were flowers of all shapes, sizes and colors to choose from. I’m so glad my mother, BarbaraB, was there! I was going to pick the most discreet flower I could find until BarbaraB wisely said, “Take the biggest one.” Sheesh! What was I thinking? Always go for the bold.

Yup, go big or go home, baby! I LOVE this green dress – such an awesome shade. Is it a little big on you on top? You look less boobalicious than usual (no offense, you know you’re smokin’). Your hair looks great!

It’s definitely not the shape I usually wear. I did take it in quite extensively! It was huge. But I wanted to preserve the original shape, just as a little something different for me!

You look really great! And so skinny! I could never wear that color. You officially rule! Off to check out that necklace.

Wow that is a fantastic colour! You’re right to go for a nice big corsage when you’re wearing such a neon colour. You look awesome as is the new hair cut!
