You’re Invited to a Sample Sale

October 18, 2009 by WendyB

In New York later this week? Come visit me at my sample sale this Friday, October 23, from 5 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday, October 24, from 12 PM to 6 PM. It’s being hosted by the fabulous people at BoConcept, which is at 105 Madison Avenue and 30th Street.

sample sale invitation

Click once to pop up, again to zoom in.

I will be selling my 18K gold, platinum and silver jewelry. The Brungers (menswear and jewelry designers) and Caroline Cameron (baby clothing designer) will be there, as will my designer friend Zang Toi. You know you want to meet Zang! Everything will be marked down from 30% to 80% off retail, so bring your friends.

If you’re not in New York or just can’t make the sale, email me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com before Sunday and I’ll give you the sale price on any in-stock item, including the Wendy Brandes for Francis swear rings. I’ll also be selling the Diana ring and Juana Peekaboo Skull Ring that I’m wearing on my index fingers in this photo by gorgeous blogger Jennine of The Coveted. (The other two rings in the photo are my own engagement and wedding rings. You don’t get to buy those.)

Speaking of Zang Toi and photos, a Malaysian paper that did an article on him borrowed two photos of us together from this blog! I’m psyched to be famous in Malaysia, but I do believe that MrB is owed two photo credits.

UPDATED TO ADD: In response to some comments: I got the striped Sonia Rykiel top after gorgeous Kate of Make Do Style pointed it out. Thanks for the inspiration, Kate! And Duchesse of Passage des Perles noticed that I wear my wedding ring on my right hand. People often remark on that. It’s because my engagement and wedding rings are very chunky and I can’t fit them both on one finger, so one of them has to be worn on the other hand. I got the engagement ring first, natch, so that got first choice, which was the left hand. There’s no symbolism behind which ring is on which hand. It was just an issue of what real estate was available at the time.

OK, gorgeous rings. And you would probably get swarmed in Malaysia what with the newfound fame 🙂 What I’m curious to know is whether that’s the Sonia Rikiel striped top that Kate (MDS) wrote about? It’s just beautiful.

I just love your jewelry – the finishes, the details…*swoon*

I wear my “other engagement” ring on my right hand and my wedding ring on my left. I don’t actually wear my original engagement ring – I prefer the ring I got for our 10th anniversary/40th birthday. Love chunky rings!
