Henry the dog is having an operation on his deformed paw today. The doctors are hoping to remove the excess skin that makes his foot look webbed, create proper toes and tighten up his tendons to compensate for missing ligaments. Here’s how his deformed foot looks now.

Crazy new shoes
UPDATED AGAIN TO ADD: Henry came through the operation fine, except for a little post-anesthesia wooziness. The vet was very pleased with the new and improved toes she created for him. He’s staying at the animal hospital overnight so they can monitor his pain level and change the bandages, and I’ll pick him up Thursday.
Hooray for Henry. I hope he’ll be all better!
