It sounds like a good read. Byzantine art is so beautiful, especially the mosaics. I wonder if this will inspire additional pieces for the Vivat Regina collection in the near future? =)

I hope it’s got 700 pages on triptychs of dour-eyed saints!

Are you looking for inspiration for some more amazing women to showcase in your jewelery designs? That was one of the (many) pleasures of browsing your collection – learning about the women they are inspired by!

PAD, we can only hope I will be that lucky.

Other peeps, yep, it’s for jewelry inspiration and book reporting.

Cool!!! I love history books of all sorts. I find that books for my age tend to be “Romance Novels” where the heroine is really annoying. So I read non-fiction instead! I know that NieNie has taken priority over rolled-up jeans, but being the impatient person that I am, what’s the word?

Hi there-when I was in my postcard art collecting phase, I picked up some Byzantine Art postcards, this era and Art is beautiful!! Some great inspiration, I reckon!!

PS I’m officially obsessed by the wolf earrings so have set up savings fund to get the little critters.

Songy, I don’t do something new right after reading a book, usually. I just file away the information in my mind and wait till I am inspired. I have lots of queens who I know I will do something for, but the piece hasn’t really come together for me yet.
