Dare to Be the Same

July 24, 2008 by WendyB

Feel like you’re the only fashion blogger who doesn’t have the Nine West Heech gladiator wedge? It’s not too late. The Heech is on sale for $69.99 (black or brown) or $79.99 (snakeskin pattern). It won’t ship till September 15, but that’s fine for those of you who live in warm-weather places.

UPDATED TO ADD TOTALLY UNRELATED REMARK: Please check out the beautiful new press page on my official website. Thank you to the gorgeous webmistress Avanti for getting it done in 24 hours.

I have been so tempted by these for so long; I keep walking into the Nine West stores and just picking up the display ones… It’s very tempting, especially now that they’re on sale!

I think for these, I’d opt for a basic black. I still have a hard time forking over that much money for those shoes though. What if they’re out of style in a few months. Then I’m out $70! 😉

Beka, what if they’re “out of style” in a few months…but you feel like wearing them anyway?! 😉

I feel that I must be crazy, to not be so crazy about them. I think it’s because the ball looks so thin.

Thank God I’ve already got eight of these. I wish shoes and golf clubs could stop taking good words like “wedge,” which are supposed to refer only to Star Wars characters and cheese.

Also, it’s still in some stores, and we’re running a sale this weekend: buy 2 pairs of sale shoes get 20% off the entire purchase. It only runs through the weekend till sunday, but whatever, sometimes it’s a good deal.

I might be the only one left on earth but I don’t do it! I can’t give into such a huge trend, heels [okay wedges], and something so…uninteresting. I don’t understand the hype still!
