Theodoric of York

November 26, 2007 by WendyB

A while ago, in a comment, gorgeous client Applevenusian mentioned the Theodoric of York, Medieval Barber skit from Saturday Night Live. Thanks to YouTube, you can all enjoy this skit about the medieval barber who treats every ailment with a good blood-letting. This has nearly all of the best SNL players in it, including frequent guest host Steve Martin and the always-wonderful “Broom Gilda.” I particularly like Bill Murray moaning, “But I’m bleeding already!”

Hmmm, I usually scan pages at first, before beginning to read them.

The first thing I saw on your blog today was about some Theodoric of New York. I thought, what a strange name for a new-yorker, must be a pseudonym. Then I realized….
