Air Berry

November 23, 2007 by WendyB

Terri Berry takes flight in Montauk, N.Y., in this undated photo, while I stand back and look pale.

I found this at my parents’ house on Thanksgiving and thought I’d share

You’re a lot less likely to take pictures of family vacations when they’re to places like the meatpacking plant, and you work a 12 hour shift every day for a week because “vacations ain’t free, kid,” says Dad as he and Mom light out for someplace better thanks to your earnings.

Hee! That must be early 90’s. I used to love that striped shirt I was wearing. Peeps always thought I was Greek when I was wearing it.

Pistols at Dawn, I’m surprised you don’t have fonder memories of the meatpacking plant. Did the coal mine work better for you?

The coal mine at least felt like we went somewhere. Specifically, 1.3 miles beneath the earth’s surface. However, there wasn’t much to do, as I replaced their canary, who was also on vacation. My job was just to not die. I was very well qualified for that job.

i agree, but then theres people like victoria beckham, who some girls love, and they’d buy her book just because she’s written it.

I took the photo and I can assure you that luck was not involved. This wasn’t TerryB’s first jump and I had taken a number of pictures as you walked along the beach.
