Holy Vintage, Batman!

September 29, 2007 by WendyB

Want to be a caped crusader like Susie Bubble? FashionDig has a few good-looking vintage capes.

This elegant fringed cape is $65.

The cute blue one ($45) was made for upscale department store Bonwit Teller.

More fringe. This one is $150. Strange. It is from the same store and looks identical to the one in picture #1 but the price and link are different. If you’re going to buy, ask for the $65 price!
Mad for plaid. $45.

As much as I love vintage, this thing has always scared me. I imagine falling, and not being able to brace yourself cause youre trapped in it!!

Say, the fringed friends look so much alike. The blue’s gorgeous, but living in a tropicalcountry – not applicable. Fighting my urge to just buy it for fun’s sake and keeping it for when overseas travels come-a-calling, but worried my husband will call me crazy woman hehe!

I was just about to say that both, cape in picture 1 and cape in picture 3 are sartorially delicious and then I noticed that they look suspiciously alike…lawl

Wendy, I couldn’t locate an email address so I thought I’d thank you, here, for contributing v.originaly thoughts on the world of style/fashion and crafting exquisite jewelry! Your historical knowledge truly brings something new and refreshing to the fashion blogosphere!

PS. Do you design Mens jewelry? I’d love to blog about your creations, should you do that!

I’m afraid that winter in Polnad is too harsh for wearing this kind of coats 🙁

Oooohhh, I love these! I’m sure if I wore a cape in Atlanta I’d get laughed at – but it’s all in the name of fashion so I’m all for it. Plus, those prices are too good to pass up.

Fabulous vintage capes! They are so old fashioned, but I really like the whole vintage look, Very 40’s too which is so on trend.

I do men’s jewelry to order right now; I don’t have much in my regular catalog yet. But later this week, I’m going to post a unisex necklace and the first person to wear it was a guy. Check back Thursday! And if you ever need to reach me use wbjewelry (at) gmail dot com.
