I’ve always been fond of 1990s fashion designer Todd Oldham, and I’ve acquired a number of his pieces, including this tie-dyed velvet skirt.
You know what would be a great addition to my Oldham collection? These beaded boots, available from vintage dealer Marilyn Glass via 1stdibs.com.
I’m in love.
As much as I like Todd, my all-time favorite vintage designer is Ossie Clark, whose heyday was in the 1960s and 1970s. Here’s a 2011 photo of one of my frequently worn Ossie dresses.
Here’s the same dress in 2005.
When I got done browsing the Todd Oldham selection on 1stdibs.com, I spotted this to-die-for Ossie top.
The print by Celia Birtwell is similar to the one in the Ossie top that I wore this Mother’s Day …
… but there’s even more going on in the 1stdibs.com top. No wonder I never know how to describe my personal style. My normal uniform of jeans and a t-shirt says minimalist, but Ossie and Todd scream anything but!
I’m imagining what those boots would sound like when you walk. Clinky beady goodness! I really hope you find them, buy them, and make a video so we can hear them!

I think of your personal style as fitting the mood you’re in: minimalist when you’re down to business and maximalist when it’s time to play!
THOSE BOOTS. Yeah, I used capital letters because I am THAT serious about them. I love those boots.

How I miss Todd Oldham! Your Ossie Clark blouse is GORGEOUS.
Oh wow your Ossie dress is incredible! It would go great with the beady boots you really need them!
I sooooo think so.
Love how you did your hair in the 2005 photo!
My hair is naturally wavy 🙂

Jesus, those boots must have your name tattooed across their soles.I’m liking the wavy Wendy hair as well!
Very gorgeous skirt!
LOVE the Todd Oldham skirt and boots! So colorful and fun!!
That’s funny, the verification code says EASY GIRL which is very true ‘cos I’m wild about those boots! How fab are they? I LOVE the Ossie Clark dress and the blouse is such a find and that dip-dyed skirt is a beauty! xxx
That dress is SUPERB! I would find it hard to resist the urge not to wear it every damn day.
