In case you missed my excited tweets yesterday, Vogue Paris picked my Empress Wu dragon ring for its “le bijou du jour” website feature. I liked the way the story referred to me as “la créatrice new-yorkaise.”

I also liked what supermodel Christy Turlington wrote about my ring on Vogue’s Facebook page.
However, “a bit scary” is an understatement when it comes to Empress Wu. The 7th-century Chinese ruler who inspired my design was utterly terrifying! Read all about her in my two 2007 posts:

In other press news, National Jeweler recently ran this story on the American Jewelry Design Council’s New Talent Award contest, in which I was a runner-up. One of my entries for that contest was my Empress Wu dragon earring design.

That ring is really so stunning (in the truest sense – you look at it and then it’s hard to turn away for its intricacy and scariness!) It photographs beautifully.
