Calling My Name

November 5, 2008 by WendyB

I’m seriously tempted by the silver- and gold-painted jeans at Topshop.

But I’m downright obsessed with the Frida Kahlo-esque heart dress that Jill Sherman posted. I need it!

Seriously. I really, really want this dress.

you do need that dress, and a pair those metallic leggings, but how to choose?

I MUST have those jeans! Both pairs!

The dress is creeping me out!

Oh Miss Wendy, the leggings/jeans are actually rather cool, IMHO, amazing as that may be coming from these quarters. The dress is simply awesome.

We are *so* glad to see Henry doing better, he looks must more handsome minus his cone. Our dear Tilly has to endure them frequently, and The Princess Consort refers to it as her satellite dish. “What are you tuning in today Tilly, anything good?” he always asks.

She is sending Henry some puppy love and kisses.

Sadly, Princess, Henry is still wearing his cone most of the time. I had just taken it off so he could eat dinner easier. But he’ll be wearing that for quite a while. It doesn’t really bother him at this point since because of his foot problems, he’s been wearing it nearly non-stop for a year.

Oh, the dress is you – not so much the jeans.

I love the weirdness of that dress!! I can totally picture you in it.

The word conformation agrees with me; it’s “starlet”.

Hi there-this is a seriously unique dress-I think it has your name on it if you look hard enough! So do the gold Topshop jeans.

OMG that is an awesome dress!! Being a whole biology geek, I really, really love any clothes having to do with anatomy and it’s other derivatives.

I LOVE the dress. And the comparison to Frida Kahlo just made me think of the Dolores Olmedo museum in Mexico City and feel warm and fuzzy all over. 🙂

Wendy!! The same brand that made me husbands leopard jeans made epic pairs of silver and gold trousers that he tried on that looked amazing. Go to Trash and get them, or at least to try them on! They seriously look exactly the same as these and for like $50 you can’t really go wrong.

Great idea, Jen! Thanks! Yeah, for $50, why not? (Well, anytime I buy something, there’s always the danger I’ll do $100 of alterations on it!)

You are the only lady who can elegantly pull off a dress like that!

That dress is amazing. I think I’d hang it on my wall or wear it every day–I’m not sure which.

Those Topshop jeans are seriously over-the-top and wonderful…and, of course, because the heart dress is slightly creepy, I love it!!

Oh I love Frida! Her museum (which used to be her house “la casa azul”) is a few blocks from my house… It’s such a nice place… I should write a post about it some time!, I’ll let you know if I do.

    XOXO.
