Meanwhile, I’m completely unprepared because I’ve never gone to a thousand-umbrella fashion show. I didn’t even know what I was missing until I saw this video from 1956.

This is definitely an opportunity for Rihanna, who has already been a success with music, makeup, and lingerie. Now that she’s reportedly entering the luxury fashion market with the backing of Louis Vuitton’s parent company, LVMH, I hope she’ll include umbrellas (and umbrella fashion shows) in the new line, because who else would be more appropriate?
In the future, maybe I’ll be kept “pretty dry” by a mirrored Rihanna Vuitton umbrella. Until then, I’m staying inside.
