Hanging Out With Platinum Guild International

November 3, 2015 by WendyB

Tonight, the fine folks of Platinum Guild International had a little soirée for designers and press at Parlor. I had designs from my Punk Platinum collection on display.

I also brought my one-of-a-kind Luna ring, which is set with 1.90 carats of diamonds and a South Sea pearl. Who knew it would look so good next to my full-finger barbed wire ring?! Well, Tanya Dukes of InStore Magazine did.

In between enjoying Prosecco (three glasses for me), cake pops (um, I think I had seven), and platinum manicures by Azature (I already had one by Minx), guests played with the jewelry. That barbed wire ring was my most popular piece. Severine Ferrari of Engagement 101 went for it after her special manicure.

Not everyone at the event was a jewelry expert.

This is Duke. He flirted with all the ladies.

As you can see, I wore the same 2004 Versace skirt and top I wore last Tuesday.

I changed up the shoes, though. It took me a few minutes to decide which of two pairs of platinum shoes looked best with my platinum barbed wire ankle bracelet.

I opted for the non-animal-toe shoes.

At the party, I enjoyed seeing how well my jewelry designs went with other designers’ pieces. My designing friend Katrina Kelly tried on the Luna ring with her own rings.

Doesn't she have great nails?

I was wearing my Dragon and Knight Maneater ring, which features a platinum sword and skull. It looked FABULOUS with this hinged opal “nail” ring by Deirdre Featherstone.

Empress Wu was a major inspiration for my Maneater ring collection, and I think this ring combination is definitely fit for an empress. Maybe I can convince Deirdre to participate in an exchange program. One week, she’ll have both rings, and one week I’ll have both rings. Sounds like a good plan, right?

Thanks again to Platinum Guild for having us!

I heart that combination! And the idea of a “nail” ring.
