Jewel of the Month: WTF Rings (on a Good Girl Gone Bad)

February 1, 2012 by WendyB

I unofficially revealed February’s Jewel of the Month over the weekend. I just couldn’t resist posting this photo of the WTF ring set  — worn by model Tina J for my lookbook shoot — as soon as I got it.

Here’s a closer look at the rings.

These rings are sterling silver with adjustable bands so they can fit a range of finger sizes. They can also be custom-made in specific sizes with closed bands. The standard, adjustable set costs $345 for all three rings and I’m taking pre-orders on my website.

Speaking of model Tina J, I was excited to see her on the cover of WWD yesterday.

There were 14 more images inside. They were all very cute and “girl next door.”

One of the inside photos.

I was amused, seeing as I hired Tina specifically because I thought she was much more than “girl next door.”  It’s good for Tina to show how versatile she is, of course.  But I like her better styled my way (with the help of stylist Caitlin Burke).

Dang, I need to wear my swear rings more. I’ve been wearing one here and one there to work (software geeks appreciate @ signs and hashtags!). But I haven’t worked up the nerve to wear the full set in my new workplace.

    That’s such a great picture – I love Tina’s tough side!

I really love the rings (and don’t forget you can use them as FTW: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ftw).

“Um, of course, I mean “free the whales,” boss!” Hee! I might have to have these…

Wow badass. I’ve been curious how did you come up with the typeface for your rings? Is there a story behind that?

Kickass! Amazing how some styling and photography skillz can totally change the vibe of a person. Tina is gorgeous and has the most beautiful profile.

    I love those rings.

And Tina was a beautiful choice for your lookbook.

It’s nice to see her getting her face out there!
