Fashion Bloggers Caught Red-Legged, Vintage Edition

March 23, 2011 by WendyB

I found my own red-pants photo too late for yesterday’s post on red-legged bloggers, so it gets a special post. This was taken in Prague in 1999 or so. I’m a little demoralized to see how long I’ve been dependent on black t-shirts.

I had those pants in black too. I gave away the red pair a few years ago, but I still have the black.

The red-legged fashion blogger trend started with red tights, but now that tights season is almost over in the Northern Hemisphere, pants are all the rage. If you want to be like all the cool kids and get your own red pants or jeans, one place to look is shopstyle.com.  There are lots of options. I’m particularly intrigued by these red pants from Love Moschino.

$155 on Yoox. Click to shop.

These fall under my  Never Is the Next New Thing™ prediction that a knickers-inspired shape would be a hot look for pants. I could kill two fashion-trend birds with one credit-card stone! Or something like that.

Honey, you’re looking at this black T shirt thing all wrong. Here’s how it goes–you look so fine in a black T shirt, so why shouldn’t it be a staple in your wardrobe? That’s the truth.

Those red pants are excellent! My hubby just bought a pair of bright red corduroys, I’m totally envious of them. I only have a couple pairs of pants and none bring me that much fun. Hm… sounds like I know what I’ll be buying next!

I definitely had a pair of red skinny jeans back in Grade 4. I also naively believe that if my mother hadn’t forced me to get rid of them, I could still fit into them.

i agree w/lynette – if it’s not broke…don’t fix it…love the short hair too…you’ve got the perfect face for it!

I wish you WOULD get those red Love Moschino pants, and put them together with some superb black shoe (vs. the flesh-toned shoe they show). “Red Pants Redux!”

Funny you mention t-shirts, I was just thinking that I own maybe one or two which sucks when I want to just schlep around or not sweat all over a nice blouse.

You look so adorable in the cropped red pants. I feel like the cropping softens the red and looks great! Thanks for you comment, it’s funny how cats can be different but deep down they’re all the same! 😉 Also, I wanted to tell you how beautiful your jewelry is! Such talent!

I still miss my red snakeskin-print pants from about ten years ago. I felt fabulous every time I wore them. Which was at least once a week for quite awhile, because they were cotton!

I had brown snakeskin-print pants from the same time period!
