Fashion Bloggers Caught Red-Legged, Part II

March 22, 2011 by WendyB

Last month, I wrote that red legs — whether pants, tights or leggings — are the hot look among fashion bloggers. It’s a look that is still going strong. Here are a few of the recent examples. Click the photos to go to the original posts.

Megan Mae of Megan Mae Daily wore red tights in my last post. Now she's switched to pants.

Jentine of My Edit.

Charlotta of Feminine Bravery.

Linley of Dwelling & Telling.

Mariel of Preppy With a Twist.

Franca from Oranges and Apples.

Annie from Poetic & Chic.

And Lara of My Milk Glass Heart pointed out red tights on the runway at the Rue du Mail show.

Photo from Style.com.

I had a pair of red capri pants in the late ’90s. I also had a pair of red flared jeans. Someone knocked a glass of red wine onto the flares. You’d think the one garment that could survive a glass of red wine would be a red one, but the wine stained so horribly that I had to throw the jeans out. I’m still bitter about that!

I have red trousers–but I wore them to play Logaine Schwartzandgrubeniere in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” so I fear that I’d always feel like that character in them. But I DO wear my red Camper boots a good deal.

I had some red capris that got a mystery stain on them. They were so perfect. I may need to hunt a new pair down! I’m digging the cuffed casual pair on “Preppy With a Twist”!

Too bad about your wine-stained jeans. How awful.

Way back in about 1977, I had a pair of red Sasson cotton pants that were styled exactly like jeans. I LOVED those things. I wore them with a red-checked gingham shirt, and a red corduroy vest. And clogs.

Yay, Justine! I’ve always loved red and leopard. Reminds me of right after the kill…not really. I have no idea what made me think that!

I agree with the red pants.
They look hot and should be worn as much as possible.

I have red flares and I think the time to wear them might well be NOW based on this post. Thanks for the inspiration.

More great legs! I really do love pink red. The true red (maybe it’s got blue in it?) is a bit heavy on me, but the pinky red is very playful and easy, I think.

First red tights and now red pants! HOT.
I think I need to pull out an old pair I have in the closet. Every year, I think about tossing them, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. Glad I haven’t.

Oh… side note… how appropriate that my anti-spam word is “knickers!”

Radical red legs! Thanks for adding me to another red-legged round up. As much as I love my red trousers – I miss my red jeans that met a similar fate as your flares (food stain, not wine).

I am not sure why this pleases me so much. Maybe because it IS because of fashion bloggers that I started craving red legs- tights, knee-hi and ankles. But especially the tights. I saw them everyone, but only on fashion bloggers. Then, in the live-stream of the IFB con, that one panel of super stylish bloggers wearing the red pants, you just knew its time had come! Love the collection you’ve curated. And looking forward in seeing your fab version of them. -Bella Q
