Photo Flashback to Zang Toi’s Showroom

December 4, 2009 by WendyB

I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t been able to post quite a few photos. Time to catch up!

House photographer GeorgeB took this picture of me, my designing friend Zang Toi and Zang’s friends at the holiday sale I had at Zang’s showroom last month. From left to right: Don, me, Zang, Jassemine, Jackson and Alan.

Zang Toi Sample Sale

That's my jewelry on display.

Zang got Don all dolled up in a white suit with a matching white ascot and sheer white shirt.

WERQ!

Sorry, ladies — and gentlemen — but our photo of Don wearing the transparent shirt without the jacket came out blurry. I assure you it was a sight worth seeing.

The dress I wore that day is the “Wendy” dress I got from gorgeous blogger Cherie of Shrimpton Couture. Earlier in November, I got to wear the dress for Cherie herself when she came to town.

Cherie's coat is by Roberto Cavalli.

Meanwhile, back at Zang’s showroom, beauteous knitwear expert Stacy Lomman dropped by to say hello and found herself in a Hotel California situation. We didn’t let her leave until we’d forced her to try on all of Zang’s clothes and pose for GeorgeB’s camera. I kept saying, “One more gown!”

You can see the sexy cowl back in the mirror.

This time, GeorgeB used the mirror to capture the gown's ornate, beaded neckpiece.

Stacy has the perfect figure, doesn't she?

Stacy finally escaped after three hours. Believe it or not, she bravely came to my pop-up shop the next day.  Most supportive friend in the world or masochist? You decide. (Thanks, Stacy!)

UPDATED TO ADD: Zang is having a great sale through December 23. Prices start at $30! Go to 30 West 57th Street, 7th floor, any weekday between 11 AM and 6:30 PM to check out the goods.

I am sure Stacy didn’t want to leave this beautiful Hotel California. You, she and everyone looks so lovely. Zang knows how to dress a beautiful women and turn her into a goddess.

Not every man can carry off a white suit, and he does it damn well! Zang’s gowns are stunning, esp the first hounds-tooth-esque one, I’ve never seen anything like it!
