The One Where I Get a Hand Job

June 9, 2009 by WendyB

I had to have minor surgery on my left hand to remove a weird bump. The bump was near my middle finger, but the doctor says it should not affect my ability to flip people off.

Things are not as bad as they appear.

I wrote a few posts in advance so blogging won’t be too slowed down, but I might not be commenting on your blogs as much as usual for a couple of days. To console you, I was going to provide a musical interlude featuring Eric “Slow Hand” Clapton but I decided this was so much more fabulous … ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Conway Twitty!

Tomorrow’s post will be on my new blog instead of here.

I hope you feel better soon. I know how long it takes to heal, my best friend had a lump removed from her hand as well, and she took 2 weeks off work.

Ahh–I remember Conway Twitty fondly and his guitar-shaped swimming pool . . . Oddly enough, I developed a strange bump on my hand after having tons of medications pumped into me through an IV line during the birth of my third child. Glad you could remove yours so smoothly!

LOL! I actually ment Conway Twitty when I was a kid. My Mom loved country and was in a wheelchair so when we went to a concert we got special treatment 😉

Hope you get better soon! Maybe you should do some special physical therapy to get the bird back into action again 😀

    seriously…. hope it's not painful
    (hugs)

Holy hands, Wendy! That looks nasty! Now, you need a good story for it.

"I punched a shark in the mouth that was trying to eat a small child."

"I over-bitch-slapped someone for not buying my jewelry."

"I was savaged at a sale at [insert your fave designer here]."

    Hope it heals fast!

Pheew! For a minute there I was worried you weren't going to gain full use of that finger.

You know, its as important as the index finger.
