Two Jills

April 29, 2009 by WendyB

In February, gorgeous blogger Jill of Trend de la Creme did a funny post on the evolution of the mud flap girl. Another gorgeous blogger named Jill, who had already purchased two pairs of cufflinks from me for her lucky husband, was inspired. She emailed me to ask if I could make special mud flap girl cufflinks … with ruby nipples.

After I stopped laughing with delight over having such a fun customer, I got to work. To put the rubies in the right place meant I couldn’t do a regular mud flap girl silhouette. My girls needed their girls to be 3D. Here’s the result!

Jill’s hubby debuted what Jill called “the bawdiest cufflinks we’ve ever seen” at a recent party. Of course, I’m going to add these to my men’s collection and, of course, I’m naming the girls “Jill.” The sterling silver version is $350. If you’re a big spender who wants a gold version, email me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com and I’ll figure out the price for you.
