The Hardest-Working Woman in Show Biz

October 8, 2008 by WendyB

Here are two pictures I took of Madonna in concert at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night.

Every time I see her perform, I think, “I really must work out more.”

Anyone who wondered why I failed to wear rubber bangles to the show can read my sad reason here.

Nice pics. Yeah, she really makes me feel bad about myself. Bet she rarely blogs.

Hmmn I don’t know about that, I find her a horrible warning rather than a good example!

If you think of her as an athlete, rather than a woman trying to look traditionally pretty, she’s awesome. To see her dancing with amazing energy more than an hour into her show just blows me away. The physical power of it is inspiring. Would I want to look like her? No. Would I want to be that strong? Sure!

She looks amazing for her age although sometimes her muscular look is a bit extreme for me. These pictures are great – you must have had a great view!

Hi there-well, her stamina and athleticism put me to shame 🙁 I only walk as exercise and not even that much now its got colder!

I’ve never understood the people who rag on about her muscles making her look ‘un-feminine’ (Camille Paglia included- shame on Camille!)- for any person to be as fit as she is at her age, is a tremendous achievement and those hypocrites never seem to bother acknowledging that she’s probably one of the fittest people around. It’s like aging, while simultaneously working to stay in shape, is a crime or something.

    Sorry, rant over. But- SQUEEEEEEE!

Indeed she’s one hard working girl who has never stopped (or let anything stop her) from being an icon. Sometimes I feel like an intruder when I read all those gossip talk about her personal life…

hello! I have added your cool blog to my new blog’s links! it is at http://fashionlolita.blogspot.com/
hope you can come visit me sometime. And also my much older blog at http://www.freshscoops.com
By the way, it is nice to see Madonna still has her stuff after all these years; it gives us an optimistic view of our own years ahead!

Amazing how she seems to become more and more fit . . . Was one show better than the other?

I love her – saw her in concert here in Toronto the last time she toured and my only regret was that I had not popped for the first row, floor seats. Just a stellar performer!!

    This is way cool, WendyB.

She looks hot I know. My aim is to get biceps like hers.. pretty much impossible at this stage but maybe I should get some lessons from enc one day. 🙂

If my ass looks like that when I’m 50, I’ll be really happy. Ugh. You have to work at that stuff though.
I hate working out. Hate it.

Well, good for her for staying strong. Did I understand correctly, you saw her perform two nights in a row? That’s a FAN.

She is a woman with so much passion and drive. Her ability to focus on what she wants and to make that happen is admirable. And, yes, I so need to get to the gym. Thanks for the reminder, Madonna.;-)

Madonna strikes me as someone who is strong in every way that a human can be. My admiration for her has never waned. Neither has my hetero girl crush.

She is a solid piece of work.

How cool that she’s been such an important part of your life. I’m sure she’s honored.

I’m sorry you lost all your rubber bracelets. That’s very tragic.

I had armfuls of rhinestone bracelets, and I can’t find a single one of those. Also tragic.
