Net-a-Porter has another sartorial option for anyone who wants to join my Golden Girls gang. (Be warned: you’ll have to be jumped in by these bitches.)

Stella McCartney dress
$2,595 on Net-a-Porter

I’ve realized I need to give y’all an update on Net-a-Porter. I recently ordered — and returned — a few things, and the return experience continues to be much better than it used to be. Congrats on your improved customer service, Net-a-Porter. This one goes out to you!

How brilliant! I’d forgotton about these dolls. And love the dlisted link – that’s my guilty pleasure.

I was actually shocked by cost of dress – dunno why, it just seems that cheap clothes have got cheaper and expensive one really realy pricey.

Do the violent initiation ceremonies into GGG involve consuming copious amounts of cheesecake? Love the sparkly dress! Picking up the July issue of Marie Claire today!!!

I wore a gold lame’ dress to my high school homecoming dance (I am embarrassed to say how long ago). The dress had actually been my mother’s in the 60’s. Sadly, it does not fit anymore but it still hangs in my closet!

P.S. I know this doesn’t qualify to join your “Golden Girls” club but it’s nice to know I could have, even it was years ago!
P.P.S. Congratulations in the Marie Claire story. I am so proud of you!

Make Do, everything’s gone up a lot, but Stella’s always been very expensive. I think this is a relative bargain for her!

    Sharon, gotta love paillettes, right?

Shelly, I hope you like the story.

Tessa, I will take you as a member as long as you can beat down Rue McClanahan. She fights dirty, look out!

Ana, I’m glad you feel well-oriented here.

Gwen, but do you remember Maude?

    Imelda, I’d say so!

The Golden Girls is a little bit brilliant. There really are so many parallels between that show and Sex and the City.

That said, I have heard Bea Arthur can literally set you aflame with her gaze.

This makes me want to sass about the house (when nobody was home) in an oversized tee using sanitary napkins for shoulders pads, pretending I’m a slutty and menopausal Southern Woman – I’m 10 y.o all over again!

  20. WendyB says

    June 10, 2008 at 4:31 pm

Grant, we’re packing heat. Okay, hot flashes, but close enough.
ENC, remember on Maude when the character actually had an abortion? Now the rule is, all accidentally knocked-up TV/movie characters have to consider abortion and reject it so that they can have the baby of a barely beard-growing teenager or fat dude.
Susie, probably a bunch of my returns.
Jill, how much for your stylist services?
Janey, they can just use my beatdown ring.
DCR, the beatdown ring would be a little too feminine for you. Knuckles it is.
Anna, just send me a note with all the words spelled out in gold sequins.
    Cybill, I like your attitude.
    Asiancajuns, thanks!
Imelda Matt, once a hot hag, always a hot hag.

This is random, but I just read a comment you wrote on someone else’s blog about how you wanted to see the YSL fur in the funeral parade, and I was just thinking about how much I adored that acid green fur piece…

Shoeaddict, I swear, I will rearrange Blogger’s face it is now eating comments. I’ve approved all comments that have successfully come through, so I’m suspicious that Google/Blogger is messing with me again. WTF! I wouldn’t do the moderation at all except for this one spammer, which I’ve flagged as objectionable!/rant/
