YSL Getty Wedge

April 16, 2008 by WendyB

I love the “dripping paint” effect on this shoe.

It’s available in brown at Barneys for $690. The black pair is listed on Bluefly for $469, but don’t get too excited: there were no sizes listed in the dropdown menu when I looked.

The most shameful pair of shoes I ever owned were these awful cork flip flops.
The memories are too painful, too painful……..

Well of course there aren’t any sizes left in black given how utterly reasonably priced they are! 🙂

Cute, they actually look kind of comfortable. Shame they are sold out.

    I’m thinking a paint job might do…

I wasn’t a big fan of these. The green ones looked more like mold growing on them then paint.

I’m sure you could find a good DIY opportunity.

Ooo that’s a good idea, Cate! I’m going to take a magic marker to my Jessica Simpson wedges.

This looks sooo cool, like someone got caught out in the rain. It also looks light as air to walk in.

Never seen a shoe like that

I acutally have a similar pair from YSL from a couple of season ago and love them. Except the little slant on the front of the shoes usually make me feel as if I am going to fall face forward. It’s an acquire feeling… : )

I like the cork and patent combination. I am not sure how I feel about the wet paint drips. I fear like it would look like a stain gone wrong instead of intentional styling.

They’re beateous. I can’t afford them at either price, though, so I won’t fret about Bluefly.
