My Own Gorgeous Family (L.A. Branch)

April 2, 2008 by WendyB

The reason we like to go to Los Angeles whenever possible is Wolfie, our gorgeous grandson. He’s just about 15 months old. Here he is on Grandpa’s lap. (My official name is “Grandma Wendy” to distinguish me from the two other Grandmas.) The lady with the beautiful smile is Laura, Wolfie’s mother.

Wolfie can say “Mama,” “Dada” and something that means “truck”

Laura is my second-oldest stepdaughter. I have three stepdaughters and one stepson, all brilliant and gorgeous. Don’t be jealous.

I have a nephew almost that age. He can’t talk yet but he sure can drool.

^^Wolfie was surprisingly non-drooly. I don’t know why. In addition to his three official words, he’s very good at answering questions about what cows, pigs, garbage trucks, helicopters, etc., say.

They’re all adorable, husband included. When my older son was that age, he said “FRUCK” for truck. Loudly and emphatically, because he LOVED FRUCKS.

Hi Wendy! You are what we call in England, a ‘Glamourous Granny!’ I love your family-your blog inspired me to post my own family piccys!

Awe, so cute! Who knew a granny could love latex. Well, more than my own. Actually she’s more into liquid latex but that’s besides the point.

Paul looks like he is really enjoying Wolfie. Awoo! The name Wolfie makes me want to howl at the moon.

My word verification is waszuz…I feel like I should be in a Bud Light commercial.

LBIC, so you get your kinkiness from grandma? Maternal or paternal?
    Terribb, BWAH! at that verification.

I wish my grandma wore Acne jeans! You are obviously the last person on earth I’d think was a grandma but I’ll bet all the kids seriously dig you.

wow, what a cute photo. i don’t have any grandchildren yet (mind you, i’m still waiting to become a mum) but i have loads of nephews, nieces and cousins that age. in my experience they’re cute the first day, and after that they’re soemtimes fun and sometimes horribly annoying.

The adorability factor in this photo is through the roof. All I can say is your delightful husband is surrounded by fantastic looking women!

PS – When I had a 15 month old I was entirely sleep deprived with ashen skin and greasy hair. This woman is obviously doing something right.

Congratulations, Grandma! It goes without saying (but I will anyway) that you’re one of the chicer grannies I’ve ever seen.

There’s someone in my family who can count to three, I think, so it’s not like we don’t have stuff to brag about, too.

    wolfie is so cute !
watch out if his favourite movie becomes ‘fox and the hound’, because that might wind up sounding like ‘fuckin hound’.
i still get teased about that.

Molly, it’s Wolfgang, but I’m sure I’m not the best Grandma because I don’t live close enough for frequent babysitting!
Weasel, hmmm, maybe something “street” like “G-Wend”?

  29. Lynette says

Awwww. Who could be jealous of such a wonderful family dynamic? Not me. My word verification is vpjkp which I believe to be the acronym for “very proud, just killer proud”for y’all on both coasts (and in between if that’s where any of the other steps reside).
