Shiny Leggings!

January 4, 2008 by WendyB

By Norma Kamali, in gold and silver, for $100. I don’t know why they seem to be packing heat. Tranny tights? Whatever. I don’t judge.

Speaking of Norma, I’ve had my eye on this fringed top for a while, and now it’s on sale, but there are no returns or exchanges, so I don’t want to chance it. What can I say? I’m not much of a risk taker.

UPDATED TO ADD: More shiny leggings!

i’ve been thinking about trying gold leggings all season, but every time i’m in an american apparel, i just can’t get myself to buy them. i think they can look GREAT on some people, but i’m afraid i would end up looking like a tranny, haha.

i love that fringe top though! very flapper-esque

I love me some leggings and those gold ones are calling my name.

Oooh and about the tranny mannequin, can you picture a remake of Manequin starring Alexis Arquette and Matthew McConaughey? I say win for that remake. Wait, did she chop it off already? What a waste.

those leggings are rad, but did the mannequin’s ass get run over by a truck?

I’d go more with “emaciated mannequin with ginorous pubis!” myself. You could totally wear those to Oscar night. Then some hunky actor might mistake you for his statue and take you home and polish you.

well, honestly I don’t like much the gold leggings…
though i love that fringe top.

I am not a fan of the no-return policy on sale items. However, the top looks like it could be forgiving fitwise . . . especially since the main body is composed of polyester and spandex!

Stef, can I pay you to drive to Intuition, examine the top and tell me if it runs large or small? Maybe you can be the Los Angeles Branch of Wendy Brandes Inc.

I heard shopintuition has crap customer service and is really slow, just a warning.

BigGlassesGirl, I had noticed on the site it says items SHIP within 7 to 10 days?? Not arrives..ships. And I think that’s better than it used to be, because I’m pretty sure I once didn’t get something from them because the site said it wouldn’t ship for two weeks. That’s very peculiar.

I saw a 6’3″ man in 5″ heels, wig, eyelashes, and cropped fur jacket wearing the silver ones last Saturday at 44th and Broadway, I swear I’m not making this up. I have witnesses (and some tourist took a photo on his cell, so there is evidence, somewhere). Not judging, just saying 😛

I love people like that. I once saw two bald men in heavy makeup and matching pink Chanel suits strolling on Park Avenue.

I just bought a pair of silver metallic tights from HnM. I’m so afraid to wear it though. What would I wear it with? I think it might look good with my seafoam green mark jacobs coat with the silver buttons…but how’d it look with the coat off? What shirt can I possibly wear with that? And shoes…Ankle boots?
