Life Is Full of Disappointments

January 13, 2008 by WendyB

I thought I had found the perfect replacement for fish feet: bat shoes!

Bat shoes by Miss Bunny on Etsy

Sadly, they’re not available in my size.

Thanks to Ooh! Shiny! for bringing this to my attention.

Wow! I am getting those for my mom. She calls herself “the old bat.” She would love those if they came in a flat with orthotics πŸ˜‰

PAD, all ladies’ shoes do. Didn’t you know that?
Asudem, someday you’ll see me crawling up the outside of a skyscraper and all my wardrobe secrets will be revealed.
Suze, only with a matching hat.
Jennine, thanks for the fishy comment.
    Nadine, they love you too!
    Marie-K, they’re perfect for a job interview.
PPIEW, I’m sure you’re same ol same ol is fascinating.

Bummer! They aren’t my size either. The face on them is just too realistic. But I’d love them with just the wings.

Lovely yet slightly crazy. Just how I like ’em!

for halloween, I’d rock them with a black bodysuit. but otherwise, I’d say a job interview is a good idea. maybe it will provide that je ne sais quoi I need to get a new job.

WendyB, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed a few moments of normalcy with your recent posts–and I mean that, honey, cause your posts are normal in the most entertaining and outrageous sense! Thanks. I needed that.

I have just talked with Mama on her cell phone–I’m home still, doing laundry, allowing Duncan plenty of time outside his kennel and some well-deserved attention, tending to her get-well bouquet from a neighbor, etc.–she said she had an OK night, ate a bit more breakfast, and has not seemed as dizzy when she’s up, but she said she still falls asleep as soon as she lying down. She said that if I visited anyone’s blog, to say thank you for your well wishes for her, for all of us.

    Hi Wendy
I am going to combine all my comments here !!
The earrings you are wearing on your birthday are so fabulous !!Are they your design?
I was at the flea market today and found a brand new copy of “The other Boleyn girl” for 50 cents !!Also bought another book by Phillipa Gregory,”the virgins lover”!

VB, the earrings are from when I was collaborating with my late business partner. I’m a little disappointed with your book purchases…considering you usually get whole outfits for a dollar, I think you should only have paid a nickel for a book! πŸ™‚

The kraken illustrations by the same seller are also quite cute. Now, if they only came in shoe form too . . .
