Guess What Happens on November 1?

November 1, 2007 by WendyB

Pumpkins are taken in back of the barn and shot.

Great. Now PETA (Pumpkin Euthanasia is Tragic Always!) is going to be all over my ass.

In other news — and I know this is going to hurt you much more than it hurts me, as my high school English teacher used to say — there is no Thursday Book Club today. Don’t get all verklempt! I have been working on a book post but I need to finish my new catalog ASAP, so that is taking a lot of my time. When that’s out of the way, I will also respond to the tag that the extremely attractive and highly organized Lady N has sent my way.

    Nooooooooo! Sad Pumpkin!

Anyway, did Kim Godon work at Sassy? Or did Chloe just model for her x-girl clothing line?

History can wait, your catalog cannot. Don’t worry about us, we’ll be fine.

    Oh, the humanity!

Personally, my preferred method of pumpkin massacring is via the trebuchet-style pumpkin chuck 😀

Hot damn! Coco should run for president. I would vote for her. I would vote three times! Once for her and once for each cheek. I think those cheeks deserve to run separately. I detect distinct personalities in them. Look at Ice-T! He’s so psyched.

i like to keep pumpkins outside til they rot. last year’s pumpkin lasted almost an entire year outside before it got mushy. . . yes, make the catalog a pdf. you could even arrange it so that when someone goes to your new url they’re immediately prompted to download the pdf…

When I was growing up, we left a pumpkin out to rot and it oozed off the porch. Next Halloween, we found a new pumpkin growing in that spot. For real! I plucked it and put it back on the porch.
