Sold!

November 15, 2007 by WendyB

I would have loved to get my hands on this ’50s Helen Barbieri gown, but someone else snatched it up from Vintageous.

And I pondered this Bill Blass coat on Poshvintage.com but felt guilty about having so many coats already. I was relieved when someone else bought it and saved me from myself.

Separately, why on earth are so many people searching for “pink jacket wendy brandes“?!? It’s right up there with “Henri teh 8” in bringing people to this blog.

What a gown! It’s easy to see why it interested you.

They also described the color as “celery” which I found strangely appealing. I mean, I know I don’t have other celery dresses!

and haha, yeaa according to my stats one of the keywords googled that brings people to my blog is “jello for hair” @_@ yea I didn’t know there was jello for hair either, gel but not jello, lol.

That dress is gorgeous, it is a pity somebody bought it first. For some reason I find your ‘Henry teh 8’ search extremely funny and nearly made me spill my early afternoon coffee all over the computer. lol.

I love both the gown and the coat! The search “high-waisted sailor shorts” always brings people to my blog, as well as “absinthe quotes”…?

I can always somehow justify coat purchases–they completely change your outfit AND they keep your warm. And looking fabulous. And . . okay, well, maybe I’m just a coat whore.

    Also, whoops, wrong email!

“Jello for hair” LOL! Re my search, the weird thing is it has my name in it…I am not famous for wearing pink jackets! Is it people who know me saying, “I wonder if she’s worn a pink jacket. I’ll Google it!” What’s that about? I like that “Henry teh 8” has now evolved to “Henri teh 8″…the “i” makes it even more special.

“I was relieved when someone else bought it and saved me from myself.”– that is too funny. But I do know what you mean. If that happened to me half the times I’ve been shopping, I’d be a rich girl right now.

    BTW, love your site.

Wendy I wish you’d won the coat… and well I wish you’d won the dress too because I know the photos of you would have been FABULOUS and I know that *you* don’t have weird knee colors. Even though you wouldn’t have seen them in either ensemble.
