"New Order Singer"

October 26, 2007 by WendyB

Since the movie Control came out, about 100 people have come to my blog by searching for “New Order singer.” I am intrigued by this because Control is about Ian Curtis, the lead singer of Joy Division.

After Ian killed himself, the band was renamed New Order and Bernard Sumner took over the vocals. Are people looking for information about Ian? Or are they really searching for the post-Joy Division vocalist? Interesting.

Anyway, if you are one of those searching peeps, here is the Joy Division/New Order post you’re looking for. There are a lot of great links in there. Check out the YouTube videos! I also have some links to information on Ian’s girlfriend Annik Honore, another popular search. You can see a recent photo of her here.

Have a good weekend!

Thanks for the advice, and although I imagine the world of journalism isn’t always glamorous, my job as Style Editor at a fashion mag has been pretty glam! haha (Unfortch, it also doesn’t have any money…which is why I’m job hunting!)

I saw Control last night and I’m still in shock… what a WONDERFUL movie. And Sam Riley is over the top.
I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed the amazing appearance of him in this movie with Peter Doherty…
