The Week in Review

November 12, 2017 by WendyB

In case you missed it, here’s what was on the blog this week.

  • Monday, November 6: Journalism events and dresses.
  • Tuesday, November 7: It’s crucial to vote in every single election. Local politicians eventually become national politicians.
  • Wednesday, November 8: This week’s YouTube video was a farewell to Gigi the dog.

  • Thursday, November 9: I’ll report back on the Initiatives in Art and Culture conference in a post this week.

On Instagram, I featured my tiny signet rings with a big (feminist) message.

The thing about elections is…the winner isn’t always the loudest voice, it’s the one with the largest turnout. Every vote counts and whether it’s an office in a small town, a mayor, or a governor, we must keep up the momentum and KEEP PAYING ATTENTION. How does jewelry play into all of this? Well, for starters, these little signet rings pack a big punch – each one comes with a donation to a different woman-oriented organization. And beyond that, they’re a daily reminder of your own power symbol, whether that be the raised fist of #resistance, or a pair of heels that makes you feel like you can take over the world. It’s a little talisman that keeps you going. And that’s pretty cool. – – – #jewelry #showmeyourrings #fashion #ootd #election #thefutureisfemale #politics #political #venus #resist #lovegold #signet #classring #vote
