Lost Your Wooden Bikes?

March 13, 2017 by WendyB

Welcome to Wendy’s Lost and Found service! Did you leave your little wooden bike carvings in the back seat of a New York taxi last night? If so, I have them.

Are these yours?

I also have the fuzzy bag they came in. Speaking of fuzzy, my thought process certainly was when I decided that it was better to take these along with me rather than give them to the driver to turn in to the Taxi & Limousine Commission’s lost and found department. This morning, I attributed that foolish decision to the quantity of rosé I had consumed, but I now realize I may have been influenced by having just seen Kedi, a documentary about the stray cats of Istanbul and the people who care for them. Basically, I saw a stray pair of wooden bikes and decided to take care of them! I’m sure RB and JF would like to have these back, however, so if you know anything about the bikes and their bag, please leave a message in the comments.

Oh, I loved “Kedi” – it’s such a sweet movie. I think you did a good deed by hanging onto these cool pieces – I hope the owner and you connect.

I put a note on Craigslist to try to track the bike people down, but now if they turn up they might be disappointed in me! I left the bikes within reach of Edward the dog and he nibbled on one!!!
