Who Wore It Best: WendyB or a Kardashian?

September 6, 2014 by WendyB

On second thought, don’t answer that “Who wore it best?” question in the title of this post! I can’t compete with a girl who is young enough to be my daughter. But here is 17-year-old Kylie Jenner — part of the Kardashian family — wearing a vintage Moschino dress in a shoot for Miss Vogue.

That photo gave me a “Samantha Jones and Hannah Montana wearing the same dress in Sex and the City 2” moment because this Moschino happens to be one of my favorite dresses. Here is a photo of it in 2010 …

Unlike Kylie’s version, my dress doesn’t have a slit. Click for original post.

… and here is one from last year.

I feel like I look extra-happy in pictures when I’m wearing this dress.  I have so much fun seeing people react to it. Just don’t call me “the original cougar,” as Glamour described Kim Cattrall’s Samantha character in a story on her SATC2 scene with Miley Cyrus!

No question, you wear it best! Give me a happy face over a pout any day.

It’s hard not to smile in that dress because so many people are smiling at you!

wow, two gorgeous brunettes! I vote for WendyB because your brand exposure hasn’t yet matched that of the K’s (but you’re closing in, go girl). xo

I’m not joking – you definitely wear it best. But the motto likely suits the Kardashian more. (Oooh, I’m bitchy today.)

Ha ha! Didn’t even really think of the motto vis-a-vis the Kardashians!

You! Duhhhhh. No brainer, and I’ll bet hers didn’t have a side-slit when she got it, either. Young girls don’t have the chops to wear this dress like you do. I’ll bet you can think up to a lot more embarrassing-to-our-loved-ones fun than she can, but you have the class-cool-wisdom just to smile adorably and pass on actually committing the social sin. That’s what it takes to wear this dress. Slogans like this are not as much fun without the irony.
I don’t often covet designer stuff specifically (can usually manage with a suggestion of an inspiration to an homage) but I love this one.
    You. Definitely you.

Aw, you’re so sweet. And I’m very amused that you, like K-Line, point out that much of the Kardashian clan really lives up to what’s written on this dress. Yikes! You’re right, it’s not funny if you’re actually out there doing regrettable things! Though I do like that Kardashian phone game. LOL.

You definitely wore/wear it better. One needs experience to wear that dress well, by which I mean you chose it whereas Ms K was put in it by a stylist . . .
