Great Minds Think Alike: Silver Wedges by Prada & Louboutin

May 26, 2012 by WendyB

When I wore my silver Prada wedges to Milan Fashion Week in 2007, the shoes were already a couple of years old, so I was amused by all the photographers taking pictures of them. I thought it would be hilarious if that style appeared on someone’s runway the following season thanks to all the publicity. It didn’t happen and I was disappointed.

Click for original photo of silver wedges with other shoes, taken in 2008. I still wear all the shoes in the picture except for the blister-causing cork wedges.

Better late than never, though! These Christian Louboutin wedges were in WSJ. Magazine today.

From WSJ. Click for source.

My silver wedges work with everything from jeans to cocktail dresses to vintage Ossie Clark prints.

The Louboutins are $695.

I love those shoes. I’ve always loved things that remind me of chrome.

I enjoyed clicking through to the full back story on your gorgeous shoes. I love it that you buy things you can wear for years and years.

Those shoes are pretty much perfect!
Silver shoes really are so versatile. I had a pair of silver peeptoe pumps and I wore them to death.

Now everybody will think you’re wearing Louboutins!
You will have to keep correcting people. I fear this is going to be very annoying for you.

Those wedges are great, but it’s that dress that stole the show in 2010. We looove vintage prints and designs.

And the first thing that comes to my mind is the famous being put in your place scene from the Devil Wears Prada, everyone influences each other 🙂

Great pairing, the shoes with the dress. This outfit must feel marvellous when you’re walking with those fantastic sleeves fluttering every which way. Also, I must say I LOVE your anti-spam words – I can actually read them and they have meaning.

Miuccia is somewhere pissed off…or is she? Would she care?

    Nah, she doesn’t care.

Those wedges do look great with everything. They’re totally a wardrobe basic.

I love these, the fact that they look like chrome really does it for me, and i was trying to explain to my boyfriend only the other day that “i don’t own a pair of silver shoes, and they’re a staple. Honestly, they are” and now he might believe me 😉

On a side note, the anti-spam word I’ve been given is ‘hateyou’ ….heart broken. haha.
