Introducing WENDYB by Wendy Brandes

November 2, 2011 by WendyB

I’ve been quietly designing two jewelry lines for a while. My signature Wendy Brandes line consists of my ultra-luxurious, hyper-detailed, mechanical pieces in 18K yellow gold or platinum. These pieces are typical of that aesthetic.

Acorn and squirrel locket. Click for more photos.

Mia scent-locket ring. Click for more photos.

Empress Wu dragon ring. Click for more photos.

Other designs — such as my swear rings and Mud Flap Jill necklaces — are more playful, modern and a bit more moderately priced. I’ve been planning to organize them into a diffusion line and, at long last, that line is here. Allow me to introduce WENDYB by Wendy Brandes.

Click to browse the collection.

My description of the collection is:

“Fun, feisty and fashion-forward, WENDYB by Wendy Brandes jewelry makes a statement. Literally!  Let your fingers do the talking with a fistful of silver rings that spell OMG, LOL, NYC or — totally tongue-in-chic, of course — F@#! Playful takes on pop-culture icons include a ruby-tipped “mud flap girl” and a peace sign that, on second glance, is also a pomegranate.  Be glamorous, bold and just a little bit naughty. Be WENDYB.”

I originally wanted to keep the prices for the WENDYB pieces under $1,000 (my signature line goes up to $25,000), but when I had to raise prices to keep up with the soaring cost of gold, that idea went out the window. Now my hope is to keep all silver WENDYB pieces without gems under $1,000 and all gold pieces under $2,000. The 18K gold fruit necklaces that are $2,000 and above — like this strawberry — will be discontinued as soon as they’re sold out and produced only in silver from that point on. As always, all prices are subject to change as the cost of the raw materials rises. (One day, I hope to introduce a third line at H&M/Forever 21/QVC prices, but we’ll have to wait till I get the big order from H&M/Forever 21/QVC for that.)

Thanks to Queen Michelle from Kingdom of Style for designing the WENDYB by Wendy Brandes logo. She also designed my main Wendy Brandes logo.

I may have said this before, but here goes – I wish I had your job! I’d have to have your talent too! Chuckled over the Kim K post- getting that stone reset in one of your designs would be so cool
