Keeping It Perv in the Family

May 10, 2009 by WendyB

For Mother’s Day, my family went to La Baraka, a French restaurant. I dressed in a Catholic schoolgirl skirt so my gorgeous mother, BarbaraB, and I could feel 25 years younger. I gave us the gift of youth!

On me:
Kilt with trompe l’oeil pins by Francis by Christian Francis Roth

Prada Gaufre bag
Mid-’90s Prada Mary Janes

Diabless t-shirt

Mom suggested that next time I wear the skirt, I accessorize with knee socks and saddle shoes. Who knew she was so pervy? I guess that’s where I get it from. Now that I think of it, I have a little white blouse that ties right under the bust. I guess I’ll break that out for next Mother’s Day.

I love the skirt, the print is really cool. And safety pins were all over the McQ collection, you’re ahead of the pack.

This is too funny, I saw the skirt at Nordstrom on Saturday! And looked at it! How’s that for progress on the fashion over frump endeavor…?

You look absolutely excellent in that outfit Miss Wendy, and you and mom together is such a sweet image! Thank you for sharing Mom with us.

BTW, you will be pleased to know I purchased a pair of *not* preppy sneaks, shown in today’s post. How cool is that?!!

    Have a great week!
