Gorgeous Ex-Bloggers Wear WendyB

January 31, 2009 by WendyB

Gorgeous ex-bloggers Leah and ENC may have broken our hearts by leaving the blog world, but they were unable to resist my efforts to convert them into gorgeous WendyB clients.

Leah, formerly of Style for the Stay at Home Mom, recently caved into my demands for a photo of her wearing my Isabella Wolf-Fang Necklace in silver, which she received as a Christmas present from her thoughtful hubby. She’s wearing the long chain doubled up to make the necklace more visible in the photo. Her hair is so perfect that I want to snatch it off her head and wear it myself.

Lovely Leah

Last March, Leah visited me in New York. You can check out our adventures here.

You already saw one of the three custom stacking rings I made for ENC, formerly of Observationmode. Now that she has received the other two, I can show you my picture of all three rings together. As I said in my earlier post, these rings were made using stones from a ring that ENC had inherited. The bottom ring is 18K rose gold, set with rubies. The middle ring is 18K yellow gold set with alternating rubies and diamonds, and the top ring is 18K white gold set with diamonds.

ENC assures me she will soon send us a photo of all three of the rings on her hand. ENC was a dream to deal with on this project, of course. Not everyone looking for custom work falls into that category. I plan to accept fewer custom projects going forward because I’m tired of people looking for couture work at Filene’s Basement prices, even as the price of gold (now $927 an ounce) gets disturbingly close to its all-time high.

Separately, what do you bitches prefer in my posts — links that open up in new windows (like I’ve done here) or links that keep you in the window you’re already in?

    I prefer new windows.

Will you still make a brain necklace for me when I scrape up enough gold? I’m going with my grandmother to the Bingo parlor this week, so I should be able to jack a few broaches and watches. The problem is that most of these ladies wear the fake stuff that turns your skin green. I’ve gotta get Grandma to start playing in the swankier neighborhoods.

Ah, and the new windows vs. current windows question: I prefer new windows so that I don’t have to navigate back to leave you a comment. ๐Ÿ™‚

Very clever Ms WendyB to sneak Enc and Leah back into the blog world, maybe they’ll get a taste for it again. Or maybe they are just out and about in the real world, swanning about in their jewellery creating envy wherever they go.

Wendy, I’m comin’ in the Spring…Hoping to get a gig at Isaac Mizrahi and you can come too! Yippee! I want to go to TopShop and Madewell and Wink and Scoop NYC. And then Century 21 and Agnes B uptown. Then I want to ride a ferris wheel at Toys R Us after upscale cocktails.

From one Odd Ass to another, we’d have a ball.
