Vote and Get It Over With Already!

November 4, 2008 by WendyB

It’s Election Day and if I could, I would vote for “never hearing the names McCain, Obama or Palin” again. I’m sick of this shizz. (I never seem to hear about Biden so he’s not on the list.) Also, WTF is with this t-shirt?

What is that supposed to mean? It’s like it’s supposed to be terrifying but it’s not because we all know not-voting isn’t fatal, just stupid. Like the shirt.

I’m going to a Election Day party tonight and I have the urge to tell people, “OMG! I forgot to vote” just to see them go crazy. But seriously, get out there and vote. Unless you’re voting for the wrong dude. Then you should just stay home and let my guy win.

UPDATED TO ADD: Truly spectacular cake art.

Diddy, Puffy or whatever name he’s going with these days, should lose the t-shirt. I went this morning 30 minutes before the polls opened and there were already over 200 people in line. I guess I know where I’ll be spending my lunch.

I'm pretty sure that's a reference to the South Park episode, where they had P Diddy saying that phrase to the boys & dancing around with guns, you know how it is.

Go Wendy lol. I love your style. It makes my head real clear. Just like having a huge whip of tree oil smell. Am I too weird?

Didn’t Paris Hilton do the whole vote and die thing last time and forget to vote?

I’d like to order some Obama jewelry please…

I was just going to say what Coco said. Paris wore the shirt, did the ads, and yet never registered. And she lives to piss me off another day.

Wendy, calm down. Have some tea and a biscuit. There now, isn’t that better? Hee!

Wendy you evil little kitten. Have fun at the party!

I voted and as per usual, I teared up. There’s something about those senior citizens, and the paperwork, and the Constitutional Right to Elect My Governing Officials that makes me all teary-eyed.

    I love this country! *tear*

(The password is fegause — isn’t that a swearword from the Sopranos or something?)

Your guy is Ron Paul, right? Because “Vote or Die” were his two choices for what to do today.

Mark left this morning to vote and he’s still not back yet. The line-up must be bad. Meanwhile, it’s oddly satisfying for me to witness the election hysteria firsthand in the US this year.

That would be freaking hilarious if you pretend you didn’t vote. I can’t beleive there are election day parties there! That’s pretty cool. Any reason to party I guess. That cake is chuckle-worthy, i heart Cakewrecks! x

that is the dumbest campaign, thank you South Park – for the hysterical take go to Farren’s blog (http://agirlbrushedred.blogspot.com/2008/11/halloween-new-shoes-go-and-vote-nov-4th.html), that’s where I first saw it.

yah, biden is on the down low.

a little story where i live: an african american elementary school teacher living in a nice home with a nice car had a small obama sign on his face, his entire house and car were spray painted with VOTE MCCAIN PALIN, and WHITE POWER WE HANG N—
and if i was dumb enough to believe fox news, apparently im a cell of evil living within this country.
so that's pretty vote or die to me.
    but that's just my opinion.

on a lighter note, i like the shirt diddy has now: I <3 Michelle Obama

If the whole primary/election season is this long in the next cycle, then I really might die! Or maybe just crawl under a rock and not come out until election day.

If that shirt is horrid is New Hamsphire’s state motto, ” Live Free or Die” horrid? I love that shirt, one should be totally ashamed not to vote since there are many places in this world where plenty of people can’t!
    PEACE.

  29. WendyB says

^^”Life free or die” actually makes sense. That’s about fighting for freedom. “Vote or die” makes no sense. Sorry! Try again.
