In the Pink

November 13, 2008 by WendyB

When I was in middle school, I had bright pink corduroys and a matching pink satin blouse. I felt so beauteous in that outfit. Here are some pink cords from J. Crew. You’ll have to find your own matching blouse. What?! I can’t do everything for you.

so it seems you’ve always been quite the little fashionista. i wasn’t so lucky…in middle school, i sported massive animal sweatshirts (a la brett from flight of the conchords).

These would be fantastic in a gray New York winter, with tall boots.

Oh, I love pink colour! I started to wear it when I was 15, I had pink blouse with ligth-green strips on sleevs and I combined it with light-green jeans, it was very colorful:)I wore it with “a-la pie de pool” green bag at summer But I like this outfit and now:)

I LOVE this hot pink colour. (I’m wearing a cardigan in this hue right now actually!)

I had red and purple jeans in grade 6 and 7 when all the cool girls had stonewashed blue. I think this experience may have permanently turned me off coloured denim, because I’m not feeling it even though it’s been making a comeback. 🙂

I am not now, nor will I ever be the sort of man who could pull off pink women’s pants, mostly because the women wearing them won’t allow it.

Appropriately, my word verification is “tender.”

Those are super cool! Hot pink is the ONLY pink, in my opinion.

Wow—in middle school you would have been the girl I harboured a secret fashion envy for. I had an all pink outfit too, only it was pink plaid leggings and a matching oversized sweatshirt. I think your all-pink beats my all-pink hands down. Though I did rock my Reebok hi-tops pretty hard core.

That’s the color of my Christmas tree! We saw it in a shop last September and I wanted it. My husband said, “Christmas is red, green, gold, silver and white. It’s never a hot fuschia pink!” I got sad but realized he’s right. Then on my birthday, he brought home a big box and guess what was inside??? I’m so happy because I now have a vivid pink tree in the house. Pink is so pretty and outrageous and classic and just perfect!

Those are very zippy. Alas, I can’t wear them, because I have thighs, and J.Crew hates thighs. Oh, woe is me.

Intense pink! I am not a pink fan and I like them…as the main attraction in an outfit…too much brighteness along with them could be overkill.

Wendy B., I’m with you. I used to have a pink pair of jeans back in the day, my signature piece were purple denim cutoffs I wore to gym class. Gasp!
    Here is my blouse suggestion.
