Anne Boleyn, Postmortem

October 31, 2008 by WendyB

Before her execution, Anne Boleyn said, “I heard say the executioner was very good, and I have a little neck.”

My royal portrait

“zOMG! My neck!!!”

Damn! I would not have recognized you. And you actually look like Anne! (Or at least what the portraits of her look like.) Impressive!

This is amazing! I have to send this to my mom too, she’s VERY into Anne Boleyn. Great balance of macabre and sexy!

Excellent costume. I keep wondering how long ‘The Tudors’ will go on before poor Anne meets her fate.

Lookin’ good Mrs. B! Of course, you have the key piece of jewelry that ties it all together…

    Loved the film clip too!

The other “queen getting executed” clip I love was Mary Queen of Scots getting the axe in “Elizabeth the Golden Age”… the red dress was WOW!

    Have a fun night!

Damn you Wendy Brandes, why must you remind me of the beautiful Boleyn necklace! I’ve ranted to you before about how the Tudor dynasty is my favorite period in British history. You have pulled this off amazingly. You absolutely exude Anne’s legendary charisma (though you also exude beauty, which she supposedly lacked).

Hey KD….I had the jacket made for me a couple of years ago. The skirt is something I’ve had since I was about 25. The crown, scepter and blood are from Ricky’s. The fabulous makeup job is by Christopher at Kimara Ahnert.

Excellent costume and branding opportunity. Although you are perhaps too well disguised without your trademark red lipstick.

late comment, but you look amazing! such a great costume. & previous commenters are right, i was trying to pick why you looked so different & it's definitely the lack of red lips!
