eLuxury Sale

February 19, 2008 by WendyB

You’ve got a few hours left — until 11:59 PM PST tonight — to get an additional 30% off sale items at eLuxury. My favorite Acne jeans (Hex style) are as low as $75. I contemplated a L.A.M.B. dress before deciding I have plenty of dresses; what I need is more nice tops to go with my skirts.

L.A.M.B. dress, $262 with discount, down from $625

I would never wear it with that uptight white shirt underneath.

That is a great dress, but the white top definitely doesn’t do it justice. I think it would look great with a boatneck.

I don’t see how those two even go together… it’s like… secretary went to Vegas/changed in the dark. Take off the shirt, add some heavy bangles, ankle boots, and you’re good to go!

I love that dress! But indeed the white blouse doesn’t look good with the dress!

Nope, thanks, ‘coz I’m savin’ up for WendyB pieces.

The dress is nice and cute… why would they want to make it look so formal???

That shirt dilutes the effect of the dress.

The deals are great on eLuxury, but alas, I have my S.I.N.C.B.M. to think about. However, I think I see some Acne jeans in my future!

That dress is gorgeous Wendy. You could use it easily!

I agree with you and the other commenters – the white blouse with that dress really doesn’t work. I guess they were trying to show that you can make something wild into something conservative, but there are better ways to do it. I think you should totally splurge on the dress and use a shiny and skinny black snakeskin belt to cinch it. And, a la Gwen – bold red lips and hair high up! Either way, great find 🙂

I checked out the Dolce and Gabanna spring line at eLux. Did you see the red white and black bull’s eye dress? Love it! Except they didn’t match up the fabric through the boobage area.

So sad. So I guess I’ll just make my own!

Which reminds me, WendyB, which jewelry did you make that you also wear? Do you have any jewelry that you made solely for yourself?

Missed the sale, but serves me right for being overworked and out of touch lately.

In search of something completely unrelated, I came across this. Seems the bows continue to move up.

hmmm…black leggings, 7 inch pumps and it will be purrrfect. Don’t forget to dye your hair blonde and apply super duper red lipstick for the Gwen Stefani look.
    lol.
    Besos!

BS, what are people thinking? Don’t they know bows below on the boobs/butt? Sheesh. I have to tell people everything.
Miss J, of course red lipstick! It’s me! But yeah, I would wear that dress with black tights and black shoes, without any weird secretary shirts underneath. Seriously! What ugly styling.
Deirdre, I will probably mention the jewelry stuff in a post I have coming up on my “basics.” But I wear a lot of the pieces. I almost never do anything just for me. I was going to do my engagement ring as a one-of-a-kind but when someone asked for a variation on it, I went ahead and did it for her.

Fabulous dress, but I don’t know about it with the shirt. Very feisty though!

It’s weird that they paired that dress with the white shirt – it totally takes away from the fabulousness of the piece.
