Too Sick for the Sales

December 26, 2007 by WendyB

I have a bad cold, so I’m not hitting the stores to check out the post-holiday sales. But I always have enough energy to browse online.

I like this asymmetrical top even though it’s terrible for jewelry. A necklace is out of the question and earrings might be too. I try to avoid clothes that don’t work with all types of jewelry but at least I could load up on rings and bracelets. Since it’s not available in my size so it doesn’t really matter. Just window shopping!

I love this vintage Sarmi dress from Vintageous, but it’s a little too damaged for me. I’ve done the stained-vintage-dress look to death. It would be nice to have something without a big splotch on it for a change.

I’m crazy about this sequined dress by Antik Batik. I already got it in silver in a size medium, and I ordered the gold in a size small. I’ll keep whichever one fits better. The medium dress is not as short as it looks in these photos.

I encountered horrible customer service when I ordered the silver from ASOS.com; the gold is coming from Net-a-Porter, with whom I previously had such a bad returns experience that I swore I’d never order from them again. So you can see I really like this dress to be willing to put up with the abuse!

As for shoes,I just did one of my periodic checks of Bluefly and eBay for fish feet in my size. No luck. It’s starting to look like my scaly Louboutins may be “the ones that got away.” Alas.

On a plus note, the Sarmi dress is GORGEOUS. I’m mad for the colour and the pleats.

Call me old-fashioned, but I like women’s fashions that are a little more bolder, buxom, and shirtless.

My mom and sister are going to an expensive mall today. While I’m stuck doing office work.
But I am going to get pampered in a half an hour by the salon that’s down the street so I guess it’s fine.

Feel better! Love the gold dress. And the weird top <3.

I love the gold (silver) dress and that asymmetrical top–no jewelry needed! Only earrings.

Will you wear the gold (silver) dress with the latex leggings?

Lady… If you HADN’T bought that gold dress (despite bad service at NAP) I’d have hopped the next JetBlue to New York (despite the weather) just to find you and slap you silly.

Isn’t it good for all of us that you just bought the thing?

    Feel better!
