Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble

October 29, 2007 by WendyB

I was cleaning a few bangles in soapy water yesterday, and when I picked up one to inspect it, inspiration struck. Yes, you can blow a huge bubble through a bangle!

Bangles shown in (from top) matte 18K yellow gold, white gold with black diamonds, white gold with white diamonds, and yellow gold with white diamonds.

I still prefer this type of bubbly.

Last year, I lost one of my bangles, probably in a taxi. I had one that was bigger than the rest and I kept playing with it while wondering, “Is this size a problem?” The answer to that is, “Yes, if you’re going to keep playing with it in taxis.” So, my advice is, “Don’t do that.” I occasionally speculate on the fate of the bangle. Did someone find it and rejoice? There are a lot of skinny bangles like that, but I use a lot more gold, making them sturdier and more luxurious. I like to think that the unusual weight and sparkle made the finder realize it was a special piece. Hopefully, someone is wearing it with pride.

Those bangles are fabulous. How much bigger was the one you lost than the ones you pictures? I like to look of mixed size bangles.

Free jewerly. Better to find it, than be the one who lost it. Especially something so beautiful.

I admire you. If I had lost something so special… I’d be in a really bad humour. Anyway, it’s better to think how happy is now the person who find it.

I own so many bangles, its craziness! blowing bubbles through them…that sounds fun. Bubbles are very fascinating, I don’t know why.

This post made me realize I need to invest in some quality bangles.
Or I could just get into the taxi after you…

But hey, the loss of that one just means more room in your jewlery box for an even more fabulous bangle!

I lost my turtle bracelet last year, I think in a cab — practically the only time I took a taxi last year. It still makes me sad to think about it 🙁 Beautiful bangles, though.

“this is the type of bubbly i prefer” hahahaha you crack me up.

As for your bangle, i wish i was that lucky person, and maye if you weren’t so tiny the bangle wouldn’t have fallen off lol!

The bangles pair well with the champagne label. Slip them onto the bottle neck…pure luxury! 🙂

LOL! Thanks for the laugh – I perfer the second bubbles as well… I lost a nice ring once and wonder if someone is wearing mine as well… it is fun to think someone’s day may have been MADE by that find
