Rihanna Needs WendyB (and Ruby Nips) in Her Life

May 10, 2011 by WendyB

I am so into the Rapunzel-length braid that Rihanna has been wearing lately. She worked the look at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala in New York last week and again in Paris on Sunday.

Rihanna's braid amazes a hat-wearing bystander in Paris. Photo from TheYBF.com. Click for more Rihanna photos.

I also loved her recent Rolling Stone cover.

Sex-ay!

Maybe her red hair is making me think of red gems, because I’m convinced that Rihanna needs my sex-ay, ruby-nippled Mud Flap Jill necklace.

My Mud Flap Jill necklace in 18K gold and rubies. Click to purchase.

The necklace is named for gorgeous blogger Jill of Stella’s Roar, who special-ordered a pair of “mud flap girl” silver cufflinks for her lucky husband. (I’m always happy to fill special orders. Read this post to understand custom orders and click here to make a request.) What I like about this design is that it’s saucy but subtle because the pendant is so petite.

The 18K rose gold Jill on the original Jill. How hot is this lady?

The 18K yellow gold Jill on me.

Alice Olive has the silver version of the necklace. Click for her post.

A while ago, on another website, someone accused me of being anti-feminist for using the mud flap girl image. Humph! Okay, I confess that I would have been scandalized myself back in the day, but, like I’ve said before, I’m not as tightly wound as I used to be. Plus I’ve noticed that the typical purchasers of Mud Flap Jill are exceptionally self-confident, smart and independent wimmin who love to laugh. I’m not worried about oppressing those bad bitches!

Anyway, if Rihanna wore my Mud Flap Jill necklace, I would totally forgive her for stealing my leopard-print Dolce & Gabbana dress last year. Just tell me where to send it, RiRi!

This necklace was meant for Rihanna! She has the sexy, wild, shy, sweet mixture that would really go well with the Mudlfap Jill necklace!

      Exactly!

Anyone who would for one flat second would think that you are anti-feminist needs to have one or more of their body parts examined. Good grief. At the least, they need to look in the mirror and think of something funny until they can begin to laugh heartily at their wrong-headed-ness! If they can’t do that, then they need to do what my Anti-spam word is, goaway. I am riled up, WendyB. Riled up.

RiRi and Mud Flap Jill go together like WendyB and the D&G leopard print dress!

Awww, rubies was my captcha!! There’s a tanning salon near where my boyfriend lives who have the mud flap girl as their logo (outlined in the window) and they also have a special half price offer in the middle of the week which they call ‘Orange Wednesday’ (Brits should get the joke there). Both those things could be massively tacky, and I don’t approve of sunbeds, but there’s something about the way you and they do it which works. Particularly you, of course.

I love that necklace. It’s cheeky and not anti-feminist at all. Guh, get a sense of humor everyone! And how in the world is Rihanna rocking Little Mermaid hair in that braid and TOTALLY PULLING IT OFF?!? Amazing!

I love that red hair on Rihanna, I know not everyone is into it but I think she’s looked amazing lately. I don’t think she needs a mud flap jill though, she needs full size Wendy B ruby nips. You could incorporate into a gold bikini, it would be fabulous!

Rihanna has quite a caboose! It can’t rival Coco’s, though. I’m sure you agree with that.

Love the idea that R. needs a Mud Flap Jill necklace, it seems perfect for her!

Its funny you should say that people accuse you of being anti feminist cus I get a special kick dancing to Girls and College Girls are Easy by the beastie boys…and also perversely love serving food in heels.

    What is that?

Maybe strong, powerful women are stronger and more powerful if they dominate the joke?

    • WendyB says

      May 10, 2011 at 8:12 pm

Dominating the joke — I love that. You’re on to something!

    • WendyB says

      May 10, 2011 at 8:16 pm

The cufflinks have been really popular and they’ve been bought by a woman for a man every time!

She would look amazing in it. It would so suit her style (and be a great and well-earned endorsement for your amazing jewellery).

PS Rihanna may have stole your dress but your consolation dress was amazing and fit you so beautifully. And you can’t go wrong with purple leopard print.

perfect! I love a bit of naughty jewellery.
I have a ring that is a tiny, VERY anatomically correct naked woman sort of arching her back over my finger. My grandpa found it on the beach and gave it to me when I was about 8 years old. Either he wasn’t wearing his glasses that day, or he just decided to be extra awesome and give a pornographic ring to an 8-year-old. either way, I love when people glance and it and say ‘what’s on your ring?… is that… oh my god!’ ha.
