We Need to Join Diet Snapple Anonymous

September 27, 2010 by WendyB

Gorgeous blogger Jennine from The Coveted and Independent Fashion Bloggers has been my house guest for a couple of weeks. We’ve been very busy. Among other things, we went to Zang Toi’s fashion show and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  I bought a puzzle at the museum and we completed it.

I was so excited I gave the thumbs-up sign even though it really annoys me. (Click!)

We ate at Nobu, Benoit and Shake Shack. We saw Easy A and Catfish in the theater, and we watched Capturing the Friedmans and Hoarders at home. Last night, we watched Mad Men. During the show, Jennine, who was fidgeting with various sets of my swear rings, suddenly said, “Look, holiday rings!”

Note actress Christina Hendricks on the TV in the background.

Then Jennine did hungry rings.

Om nom nom. (Click!)

I think Jennine might be delirious due to the massive quantities of Diet Snapple we’ve been consuming.

This isn't even all of them!

We need a 12-step program!

Well, time for me to get back to perfecting my imitation of the guy on Family Guy who says, “Oh nooo!”

My god, that last photo is frightening. Then again, maybe you’ve found an alternative source for powering this country…

Can I join? When I was in the US I managed to drink about 25 bottles in a fortnight. Thank goodness they don’t sell it in the UK (although I really miss it). Maybe that is the answer, maybe you guys should move here. An easy way to go cold turkey.

I think you need to find something even more addictive. When I thought I had a chocolate addiction, I started drinking black coffee, and the chocolate was no longer necessary.

The NOM swear set is awesome! So many possibilities – ORGH, STFU, PWN, MILF. Personally, I think I’d use STFU most often.

Holy puzzle madness, that looks impossible! I can’t quite tell, but it looks contemporary? Abstract? I think I would have chosen something more on the realist side!

That’s just great, Wendy. I just ordered your original swear rings and you and Jennine are making me want the all the other ones. Stop it! My bank account can’t afford my eyes!

I am calling the people at Hoarders and telling them about your Snapple bottle boarding!

    September 27, 2010 at 11:47 am

ugh, I was in such a hurry that I said “boarding” and not “hoarding”. I don’t think the people at Hoarders are going to make a sequel show about people who take on Boarders. Ooh, how about this, “Boarders that are Hoarders”?

    😉

what a fun weekend! i want to do that puzzle!

i used to be addicted to diet peach snapple. for some reason it made me need to pee BADLY and OFTEN, so that kind of curbed my usage. yes, i am a freak!

I love that you guys are such good friends. IT is weird to observe it but I am happy none the less. Jennine is a great person. I have recovered from a diet Snapple addiction, clean for 5 years. lol

PS. I totally know how to do that voice.

You guys are so cute! Since your Sunday 10pm spot is taken up with Mad Men… you HAVE to try and catch re-runs of Sister Wives on TLC. It premiered last night. Oh man.

    What fun you are having!

I’ve never tried Diet Snapple, but that’s probably because I’m still addicted to puzzles and have no time to focus on anything else.

It sounds like you ladies are having a blast – and possibly keeping Snapple afloat all by yourselves! I hadn’t heard of catfish until I saw your other post, but that episode of mad men was nuts!
