Tourmaline and opal are October’s two birthstones. I’ve shared the double-tourmaline ring that I created for ANZA Gems before, but ANZA’s recent Instagram post of it has inspired me to feature the ring again. I love how this post shows the different phases the gems went through: uncut rough; faceted but loose gems; and finally the gems set in my ring design.
As a bonus, here’s a little video from A Thousand Facets.
To inquire about the ring, contact ANZA Gems directly.
If you’re looking for birthstone earrings instead of a ring, check out the luscious cabochon-cut tourmaline I used to create 18K stud earrings for my own line. I think the dome-shaped gems are a nice change from what you usually see in birthstone studs.
I had just two pairs of tourmaline studs in stock, and one sold this week. I won’t be making these again, so if you want the last pair, don’t delay. Have any questions or need help with the website? Holla at me at info@wendybrandes.com.
